GTE 2.0E - Current specifications

Engine

2.0 litre 16 valve (DOHC) redtop from Astra mk2 GTE running standard SFI multi-point injection, approx. 150bhp standard.

K & N 57i induction kit fitted.

Manta 1.8 sump & oil pick-up pipe used.

Gearbox

Manta 1.8 5 speed manual (5-speed all synchromesh Getrag 240 Sports Gearbox).

Exhaust system

Ashley competition 2 & 1/4 inch manifold doing to Jetex 2 inch system.

Transmission

Standard GTE differential and prop.

Cooling

Electrical cooling fan from Senator 3.0 v6.

Body

De-locked boot, 400 style mirrors, spoiler and bonnet - held down with bonnet pins, Full set of underfloor neon's (red), Half roll-cage,

Exclusive rear bumper and in-fill panel, Standard GTE front bumper and side skirts.

Wheels

MVK 15" alloys with 195 - 60's on (car effectively sits 1/2 inch higher than it would on the standard 14" ronals)

Suspension

Standard.

Front suspension - Independent unequal length wishbones, Bilstein dampers, Stiffened & lowered springs, all bushes replaced with polyurethane items.

Rear suspension - Manta 1.8 (lower ratio diff) live axle, trailing arms with panhard rod. Stiffened & lowered springs with Bilstein dampers, all bushes replaced with polyurethane items.

Brakes

Dual Circuit Servo assisted disk/drum - 288mm vented discs with volvo 240 4-pot Calipers using EBC greenstuff pads (front) 9.1 in Drums (rear).

Security

Solex door locks, anti-theft wheel nuts, Microscan immobiliser and Sikura alarm.

Misc

Custom made polished stainless steel exhaust manifold heat shield with & radiator cover panel, both with engraved opel logo.
